Convocation Day

On the 25th May 2010 (Tuesday), It was my sister's convocation day. Actually, it was her 2nd convocation. The first is during her Diploma. The ceremony took place at Dewan Sri Budiman (DSB) as usual. Since it was held during the weekdays, so x ramai la our family members datang.. only papa, ummi, me and abang came (but he went back early as his shift start at 5pm). Nothing new with the convocation system (to those yang pernah pergi convo confirm tau what I meant). But I was being informed there are some changes made here and there..

1. Before this (UiTM 71st Convocation Ceremony), names are not being called. It will only be displayed on the big screen. (but then there maybe some comments made in UiTM's website so they change it). Its a good thing to change back the system. At least, the graduates will rasa berbangga bila nama dipanggil.

2. For this time ceremony, only those who received 1st class, 2nd class upper and 2nd class lower degree will have a convocation. For those who received 3rd class degree?? I bet no convocation (which is ABSOLUTELY TRUE! I saw the convocation book and there are no single list names for 3rd class graduates)..they will only received their certificate later. Shocking right?? Well, I'm sure there must be a concrete reason why UiTM did that. Hm..maybe ada yg akan cakap "x pe la.. masa diploma dulu dh merasa". but wait! Degree is different from Diploma, Master is different from Degree and definitely PhD is different from Master. Different certificate, different ceremony and surely different robe.. even there will be different pictures kan?. What can I say, If you are excellent before, doesn't mean you will be excellent today right? What we have to do is to work hard to achieve our best in everything we do every single time.

A picture insisted by my dad. Taken at one of the stairs at menara on our way to the car. After the picture was taken, we look back and theres are a few peoples waiting behind us to use the stairs. Sorry! buat road block kejap..hehehe..
